The affordable housing lottery has launched for 25-79 31st Street, a seven-story mixed-use building in Astoria, Queens. Designed by JLS Designs, the structure yields 23 residences and 12 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are seven units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $68,572 to $156,130.
Amenities include pet-friendly policies, assigned parking spaces, bike storage lockers, shared laundry room, gym, recycling center, package lockers, and an elevator. Units come equipped with dishwashers, air conditioning, hardwood floors, smart controls for heating and cooling, and patios or balconies. Tenants are responsible for electricity.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,000 for incomes ranging from $68,572 to $156,130; three one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,050 for incomes ranging from $70,286 to $156,130; and one one-bedroom with a monthly rent of $2,300 for incomes ranging from $78,858 to $156,130.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than November 1, 2022.
