Permits have been filed for a nine-story residential building at 2518 Ocean Avenue in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. Located between Avenue T and Avenue U, the lot is near the Avenue U subway station, serviced by the Q train. Alex Finkelshteyn under the 2518 Ocean Avenue LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 80-foot-tall development will yield 23,504 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 30 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 783 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and 14 enclosed parking spaces.
Z Architecture is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in April for the two-story residential building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
