A new rendering has been revealed for 160-14 Hillside Avenue, a seven-story residential building in Jamaica, Queens. Designed by ARC Architecture + Design Studio and developed by A&R Properties Group, the structure will span 40,000 square feet and yield 44 units and 3,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The property is located at the corner of Hillside Avenue and 161st Street, near the MTA’s Parsons Boulevard subway station.
The latest rendering shows the façade composed of a warm mix of earth-toned masonry and gold-hued paneling, a diversion from the past iteration, which featured a monochrome exterior. Amenity spaces will include a roof-level terrace with pergola shading and a fitness center. More will be announced as the project moves forward.
The project team has not revealed an anticipated date of completion.

Nice
Is that a garage level above the first floor? The new rendering shows a car entering across the sidewalk next to what appears to be the front door.
Unless that driver suffered a medical emergency, it does appear thats a curb cut and garage entry.
At least the curb cut is on the side street. I would hope a curb cut on Hillside would be illegal.
Nice looking project! Especially great considering its replacing a used car lot. Would love to see more of this along Hillside Avenue!
Has there been an upzoning? Nearly everything along hillside is single or raised two-story.
Allbl of which likely predate the arrival of the IND subway I presume…
No more balconies aka outdoor storage spaces. Hallelujah!
