Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 150-02 Northern Boulevard in Flushing, Queens. Mike Lee under the 15002 Property LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 75-foot-tall development will yield 35,185 square feet, with 28,357 square feet designated for residential space and 6,828 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 38 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 746 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 55 enclosed parking spaces.
HPL Engineering is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in October 2022. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

It seems not long ago that Northern Blvd. from Main St., Flushing, east to Bayside was mostly one or two-story commercial buildings with a few six-story apartments. The construction of mixed use buildings such as this have completely transformed the appearance of the area. One holdout is the former site of the RKO Keith Theater whose landmarked lobby stands encased with roofing membrane. There were plans to incorporate this into a new building, but this has been stalled for several years.
