Construction has topped out on 8800 Bay Parkway, a seven-story residential building in Bath Beach, Brooklyn. Designed by Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architects and developed by Billy Xiao of B & J Bay Property Inc., the 70-foot-tall structure spans 47,525 square feet and will yield 40 rental units with an average scope of 713 square feet, as well as a 7,256-square-foot ground-floor community facility, enclosed parking for 20 vehicles, and a 30-foot-long rear yard. KW Development Contracting is the general contractor of the project, which is located between Bath and Cropsey Avenues.
Recent photos show the reinforced concrete superstructure standing at its pinnacle and crews in the process of assembling the metal stud frames for the walls and window grid. Insulation boards have begun installation on the blank northeastern elevation, and the ground floor is covered in scaffolding.

No renderings have been disclosed for the project apart from a black-and-white elevation diagram posted on site. This illustration shows a symmetrical grid of floor-to-ceiling windows on the main southeastern profile facing Bay Parkway. The envelope is composed of a mix of light and dark paneling, and two stacks of balconies line the center of the building. A setback above the sixth story will likely support private terraces for the seventh-floor units.

The project is located in close proximity to the D train at the elevated Bay Parkway station to the northeast. The Belt Parkway is also accessible to the southwest, along with a large number of retail properties at the Caesar’s Bay Shopping Center along the waterfront.
880 Bay Parkway’s anticipated completion date is posted on site for February 4, 2024.
