Permits have been filed for a 15-story affordable senior housing building at 97-10 Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens. Located at the intersection of 97th Avenue and Sutphin Boulevard, the Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue-JFK Airport subway station is within walking distance, serviced by the E and J trains. Breaking Ground under the BG Sutphin LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 163-foot-tall development will yield 119,719 square feet, with 80,834 square feet designated for residential space and 35,885 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 173 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 467 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 40-foot-long rear yard.

Bernheimer Architecture is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
