Mid Hudson Construction Management is building a new mixed-use rental building at 44 Springfield Avenue in Poughkeepsie, New York. Designed by developer and architect, Tinkelman Architecture, the building will comprise two ground-floor retail spaces and 28 apartments on the second through fifth floors.

Renderings from the project team show a mixed-material façade with black, white, and bronze cladding, and a setback at the fifth floor for a communal roof deck.

Additional amenities will include a top-floor lounge, a fitness center, coworking spaces, and an indoor swimming pool on the ground floor.

“It’s central to our mission that we build into our projects the opportunity for community betterment,” said Mid Hudson Construction Management president and CEO Ray Travis. “It’s our hope that the commercial aspect of this project will foster economic growth for small businesses locally, while the residential units will create a new, distinctive option in a dynamic and growing neighborhood.”

Construction broke ground in December 2022 and is expected to wrap up by March 2024. Pre-leasing will begin this fall.

  1. The way this building meets the ground is so uncomfortable. As if the landscape or urban conditions don’t exist. The architecture requires more skill.
