Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a five-story residential building at 729 Rogers Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Linden Boulevard and Lenox Road, the lot is three blocks from the Winthrop Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Yosef Eliav is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 61-foot-tall development will yield 9,020 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have ten residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 902 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 44-foot-long rear yard.
Leandro Nils Dickson Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the permit calls for an expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Glad this building isn’t being destroyed. Will the addition be done right, or will they screw it up?
I’ve seen few of these vertical expansions that weren’t complete hatchet jobs. So I’m going to guess screw it up.
This building is not in Flatbush. It is in East Flatbush.
Kind of a Venn diagram situation.
