Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 1629 Brooklyn Avenue in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Glenwood Road and Avenue H, the lot is in walking distance of the Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College subway station, serviced by the 2 train. Jacob Leifer of Sty is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 14,986 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 22 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 681 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a 38-foot-long rear yard, six enclosed parking spaces, and five open parking spaces.
DJLU Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
