Located at the intersection of East 55th Street and Lexington Avenue, the corner lot is near the Lexington Avenue/53 Street subway station, serviced by the E, F, and 6 trains. Sergey Rybak is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 233-foot-tall development will yield 52,558 square feet, with 1,174 square feet designated for community facility space, 2,551 square feet for commercial space, and 48,833 square feet for residential space. The building will have 23 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 2,123 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a recreational rooftop.
Zproekt Architecture is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in February 2022 for the two-story building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
