Permits have been filed for a nine-story residential building at 155 South Elliot Place in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Located between Hanson Place and South Portland Avenue, the lot is near the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R, and LIRR trains. Mendel Berkowitz is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 89-foot-tall development will yield 116,487 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 101 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,153 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 30-foot-long rear yard, 51 open parking spaces, and 51 enclosed parking spaces.
Kao Hwa Lee Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
