Permits have been filed to expand a three-story structure into a four-story residential building at 1734 Nostrand Avenue in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Clarendon Road and Cortelyou Road, the lot is one block south of the Beverly Road subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Yosef Eliav is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 63-foot-tall development will yield 5,415 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have nine residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 601 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and a 35-foot-long rear yard.
Leandro Nils Dickson Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
