The affordable housing lottery has launched for Rheingold Senior Residences, a nine-story residential buildings at 15 Montieth Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by Magnusson Architecture and Planning and developed by Southside United HDFC, the structure yields 94 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 65 units for residents at 50 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $0 to $63,550.
Units come with energy-efficient appliances and air conditioning. Amenities include a rooftop garden, office space, shared laundry room, lounges, and a community center. Tenant are responsible for electricity.
At 50 percent of the AMI, there are 26 studios with a monthly rent of $0 for incomes ranging from $0 to 56,500, and 39 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $0 for incomes ranging from $0 to $63,550.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than April 15, 2024.
