Permits have been filed to expand a three-story structure into a four-story residential building at 78 Beaver Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located between Bushwick Avenue and Flushing Avenue, the lot is near the Myrtle Avenue subway station, serviced by the J, M, and Z trains. Michael Friedman is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 6,612 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have nine residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 734 square feet. The wood-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and a 31-foot-long rear yard.
Dmytro Chornobryvets Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for an expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
