Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a six-story mixed-use building at 921 60th Street in Borough Park, Brooklyn. Located between 9th Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway, the lot is a few blocks from the Fort Hamilton Parkway subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Wai Wong is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 67-foot-tall development will yield 7,555 square feet, with 5,981 square feet designated for residential space and 1,574 square feet for community facility space. The building will have nine residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 664 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 32-foot-long rear yard.
Jonathan Chin of Indetail Architectural and Engineering is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the permit calls for an expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
