Several of the first ground-floor retail leases have been announced for 2-20 And 2-21 Malt Drive in Hunter’s Point, Queens, marking a step toward the project’s completion. Developed by TF Cornerstone and designed by SLCE, the two-tower development spans 1.43 million square feet and yields 1,386 rental residences. The project’s design pays homage to the site’s history as a former sugar cane processing facility and later a beer distribution center, and notably will creates new public open spaces along Newtown Creek, including the recently opened Malt Drive Park.

Announced leases at this time include a mix of tenants across various industries, including Stepping Stone Café by Maman, Dear sundays, FER Restaurant, and JoJo & Co. Pet Club. These retailers will occupy a total of 25,000 square feet of retail space, with specific units offering outdoor seating.

Amenities at 2-20 and 2-21 Malt Drive will include on-site parking, bicycle storage, coworking spaces, lounges, fitness centers, shared laundry rooms, children’s playrooms, roof decks with barbecue grills, sundecks, courtyards, and an outdoor swimming pool.
