Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 11-27 Foam Place in Far Rockaway, Queens. Located between Smith Place and Beach 18 Street, the lot is near the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue subway station, served by the S trains. Peter Abowitz is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 45,759 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 68 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 678 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a 51-foot-long rear yard and 34 enclosed parking spaces.
Fischer Makooi Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
