  1. The lot is actually closest to the BAY PARKWAY station on the “N” train.

  2. The location is right off of the Bay Parkway subway station; why mention a station that is 2 avenues away?

  3. Ps this is bensonhurst, not borough park! Grew up and lived here 40 years.

  4. I live a block away from Pizza daddy. This is bensonhurst. Not Borough park. The person that wrote this article should be fired

  5. Question for native Brooklynites:

When did Bay Parkway start being called Bay Pkwy and not 22 Avenue? I know the station on the West End Line used to be called 22 Avenue.

    • Officially, it was renamed in 1892. The legislature transferred jurisdiction from whatever City of Brooklyn agency handled streets to its Parks Commissioner with funding to rebuild it to be like Ocean Parkway and Eastern Parkway. The same happened to Fort Hamilton Avenue and 75th Street which became Fort Hamilton Parkway and Bay Ridge Parkway. I believe the state money ended up going to street maintenance. Both Bay Parkway and Bay Ridge Avenue continued to be known by their old names for decades (and through today by some old-timers) and the signs at the subway stations maintained the 22nd Avenue name or co-name for years as well. I don’t know when the co-naming was dropped.I found this information in the Brooklyn Public Library’s Brooklyn Newsstand, which gives card holders access to Brooklyn newspapers at Newspapers.com.

  6. Not Borough Park.
