  1. What a sad story
This is one of the last wooden houses built in the neighborhood , probably dates to late 1890 or so
The neighborhood have been trying to landmark it for years all for naught.
    GREED GREED GREED

  2. so sad to see another beauty destroyed!!!

  3. What do the area’s city, state and federal elected public officials has to say about this?

    • When is the Last Time that Local, City, State and Federal Elected Public Officials have Improved The Lives of The Citizens of New York City?
      No One Cares!

  4. THOUGH RAISED IN BAYSIDE, QUEENS / IN A ONE FAMILY HOUSE, BUILT IN 1941, I TOO LAMENT THE FUTURE OF THIS WONDERFUL HOME – THAT WITHOUT DOUBT, HAS SEEN SO MANY HISTORIC EVENTS; ONLY TO BE DESTROYED FOR PROFIT.
AS THE 80 YEAR OLD, ONCE JR. BUTLER TO: MRS. MERRIWEATHER POST @ MAR-A-LAGO C. 1967
IT IS NO WONDER THAT PRESENT DAY AMERICANS CAN’T GRASP … TASTE AND HISTORY.
