Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 392 Leonard Street in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Richardson Street and Meeker Avenue, the interior lot is near the Nassau Avenue subway station, served by the G train. David Halberstam of Bruklyn Builders Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 100-foot-tall development will yield 35,734 square feet, with 29,294 square feet designated for residential space, 4,714 square feet of commercial space, and 1,726 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 45 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 650 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar.

Thomas A. Scibilia of NA Design Studio is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed this month for the one-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Where will I get my carpentry?

  2. Wow, from this unassuming one story 3rd world looking shanty, to 45 living units in the sky👍, seems like a pretty good trade-off & yield 🤷‍♂️😄
