Permits have been filed for a 12-story mixed-use building at 4541 Furman Avenue in Wakefield, The Bronx. Located between East 239th Street and East 240th Street, the lot is near the Wakefield-241st Street subway station, served by the 2 train. Tom Eswein of Vertical Community Development is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 124-foot-tall development will yield 138,778 square feet, with 57,590 square feet designated for residential space and 81,187 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 220 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 261 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 12 enclosed parking spaces.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet for the single-story industrial structure on site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
