Permits have been filed for a ten-story residential building at 877 Grand Street in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Olive Street and Bushwick Avenue, the lot is near the Grand Street subway station, served by the L train. Mendy Schwimmer is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 115-foot-tall development will yield 37,488 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 55 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 681 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 33-foot-long rear yard.
Thomas Scibilia of NA Design Studio is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed this month for the existing structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
