Leasing has launched for 5 Bridle Trail Road, a three-story mixed-use rental development and the first residential phase of The Village at Tuxedo Reserve in Tuxedo, New Jersey. Designed by Aurae, the luxury division of Suffern-based Aufgang Architects, and developed by Related Companies, the development yields 336 rental units in one- and two-bedroom layouts ranging from 700 to 1,400 square feet. The project also includes ground-floor retail and dining space anchored by a timber-framed destination food market.
The apartments sit within Market Square, the commercial core of The Village, which is planned with a village green, a seasonal ice skating rink, outdoor performance space, and year-round programming including farmers’ markets. Residential amenities include a resort-style pool, a fitness center with basketball and squash courts, tennis and pickleball facilities, a dog park, a playground, resident lounges, coworking space, and direct access to hiking and biking trails across the surrounding 70,000 acres of preserved woodlands.
Tuxedo Reserve, formerly known as Tuxedo Farms, is planned for more than 1,600 homes across the 1,200-acre property, with single-family homes and townhomes built by Lennar. Related and Lennar broke ground on the community in May 2025, and the first hamlet, West Terrace, welcomed its first homeowners this past June. The broader vision for a built-from-the-ground-up village on the site dates back more than 40 years.
First move-ins at The Village at Tuxedo Reserve are expected in October, with the skating rink opening this fall and shops, dining, and Market Square rolling out through the winter and spring, according to the developer.
