Foundation work is now underway on the 21-story hotel under development at 16 East 30th Street, in NoMad. The construction progress can be seen thanks to a photo posted to the YIMBY Forums. The latest building permits indicate that the new structure will encompass 50,997 square feet and rise 204 feet to its roof, not including the bulkhead.
An unspecified number of hotel rooms will be located on the third through 21st floors, with the exception of the 20th floor. An anonymous Long Island City-based LLC is the property owner and Financial District-based Nobutaka Ashihara Architect is the architect of record. A targeted completion date is not known.
