Permits have been filed for a three-story residential building to come to 102 Huron Street, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The site sits three blocks from the waterfront, and six blocks away from the Greenpoint Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the G train. Daniel Kaykov of Renovation Group is responsible for the development.

The 42-foot tall structure will yield 10,000 square feet, divided among six apartments. The units average 1,667 square feet apiece, indicating family condominiums. Two of the residences will be situated in the basement, while the other two floors will include mezzanines to expand space for the upper four apartments.

Design Studio Group is responsible for the design.

Demolition permits were filed in late November, and the estimated completion date has not been announced.

My grandfather bought that house in the 1950s and my mother and father occupied the bottom apartment when they were married. I was born in 1964 and we lived there until 1984. I have great memories playing in that huge backyard, gardening with my grandparents, barbecues with the Met game on the radio. Greenpoint was a nice community to grow up in in the 1960 and early 70s. I miss my BROOKLYN!

    • Wow! May a curse fall on whoever green lighted this project. I am heart broken too Betty. This is KQ from 109. Please call me at 843 399 4055. Hope all is well
