Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 909 East 229th Street, in The Bronx’s Wakefield neighborhood. The site is nine blocks away from 233rd Street Subway Station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. SThe White Plains Road commercial thoroughfare is also six blocks away. Bronx-based Atlantis Renovations Inc. will be responsible for the development.

The 37-foot tall structure will yield 11,970 square feet for residential use. 14 apartments will be created, averaging 855 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. Tenants will have access to 10 parking spaces, and storage for ten bicycles.

Badaly Architects will be responsible for the design.

Demolition permits have not yet been filed, and the estimated completion date has not yet been announced.
