Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 31-35 137th Street, in Flushing, Queens. The site is ten blocks away from the Main Street Subway Station, the final stop for the 7 train in the borough. Leavitts Park is half a block away from the location, bringing to the neighborhood a football field, baseball diamond, and four tennis courts. Mei Yong Xiao will be responsible for the development.
The 100-foot tall structure will yield 50,200 square feet of space, with 12,850 square feet dedicated to an unspecified community facility, and 37,350 square feet for residential use. 56 apartments will be created, averaging 667 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. Tenants will have access to bicycle parking, laundry room, and 39 underground parking spaces.
A&T Engineering will be responsible for the design.
The lot currently sits vacant, and the estimated completi0n date has not been announced.
