Significant progress has been made on the construction of a six-story building at 199 Montrose Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The lot has been vacant for at least a decade, with proposals for other developments on record as early as 2008. It appears that foundation work has been started, with steel paneling raised to ground level. It does not look as though concrete has been poured yet. Ranco Capital LLC is responsible for the development.

J Frankl / C Mallea Associates is responsible for the design. Elevations on-site show a masonry façade with a touch of contemporary influence.

The permits filed in April proposed a 75-foot tall structure yielding 57,650 square feet, with 9,010 square feet dedicated to commercial use and 11,190 square feet to an unspecified community facility. 37,440 square feet will be dedicated to residential use, creating 55 rental units. Tenants will have a laundry room, recreational space, a rooftop terrace, and 28 parking spaces.
Completion is expected by May of next year.
