Permits have been filed for a six-story building at 17 Lamont Court at the Northern border of East Flatbush, across from Crown Heights, in Brooklyn. The site is five blocks from the Sterling Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Moshe Tal is listed as responsible for the development.
The 73-foot tall structure will yield 12,200 square feet, with 8,840 square feet dedicated to residential use. Eleven apartments will be created, averaging 800 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. One duplex unit will occupy the upper floors, and the entire building will be crowned by a shared rooftop recreation space. Space for storing six bicycles will be included, as well as a recreation room within the cellar.
ND Architecture & Design will be responsible for the design.
Demolition permits for the existing structure were filed in mid-July. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
