Permits were filed by developer 925 Capital to build an 8,500 square foot retail building at 101 Bruckner Boulevard, in the South Bronx neighborhood of Port Morris. Among the various retail tenants is a planned rooftop restaurant on top of the 18-foot tall, one-story structure, which YIMBY can now reveal.
37,500 square feet of air rights have been purchased by the developer for a future mixed-use project.
The site is located next to the south of I-87 and to the west of the Bruckner Expressway. Randall’s Island is located to the south of the site, across the Bronx Kill River. The two closest subway stops are along the 6 train to the north, at the Cypress Avenue station and the Brook Avenue station.
Approval of the project is expected to happen before the end of the year.
