Permits have been filed for a new sixteen-story mixed-use building at 410 West 126th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. Located between Morningside and Amsterdam avenues, the corner lot is one block away from the 125th Street subway station, serviced by the A,B, C, and D trains. It is also three blocks south of St. Nicholas Park, and four blocks north of Morningside Park. Jianhui Hu of Columbia International is listed as behind the applications.

The 169-foot tall structure will yield 128,542 square feet, with 68,496 square feet allocated to residential space. The application filed allots 59,460 square feet to commercial space, and 586 square feet to a community facility. 92 apartments will be created, averaging 745 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. The building will include 47 enclosed parking spaces. Peter Poon Architects will be responsible for the architecture.

Neither demolition plans nor an estimated completion date have been announced.

    Side of the street Gentrified , except the old stable is still standing.

  4. This space is not used for much anyway. It used to have cars in there
    The new apartments should be fir very low and low income people but of course it will probably be for the gentrifiers.

  5. The community need MORE AFFORDABLE HOUSING not more Market Value Apartments that no one living around there can afford. The 80/20 rule should be thrown out the window. Columbia only has interest on a selfish level
