Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 8800 Bay Parkway, in Bath Beach, Brooklyn. Located between Cropsey Avenue and Bath Avenue, the development is situated two avenues from the Bay Parkway subway station on 86th Street, serviced by the D train. The site is also close to the Bensonhurst Park and Belt Parkway. Billy Xiao of B & J Bay Property Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The steel-based structure will yield 47,525 square feet, with residential space taking up 28,541 square feet and community facilities allotted 7,256 square feet on the first floor. The interior lot has a rear yard 30 feet long, as well as enclosed parking spaces for 20 vehicles. According to permit details, there will be 40 residential units in the 70-foot tall building, most likely rentals as units will average 713 square feet apiece.

No demolition permits have been filed as of yet for the 1920’s two family home currently on the lot. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
