With sales expected to launch this Spring, Sugar Hill Capital Partners has unveiled a new website for One Prospect Park West in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Originally constructed in 1925 as a clubhouse for the Knights of Columbus, the structure’s interior components are being carefully renovated and repurposed as the building is converted into condominiums.

As a first for Brooklyn-based design studio Workstead, the ten-story building primarily includes two- and four-bedroom homes. The property will offer a total of 63 condominium units including more than 40 unique floor plans.

Located immediately on Prospect Park, future residents will enjoy unobstructed views of Prospect Park and the Manhattan skyline from upper levels of the building. Tenant amenities include a private, curated art gallery, a “residents’ club” with spa-like features, and a landscaped roof deck designed by ODA New York, the firm’s premier landscape-only commission.

Exclusive sales will be handled by Douglas Elliman.

  1. Remember when this was an old-folks home? Whatever happened to all of the old folks who were evicted to make this project possible?

  2. I worked in the building when it was a senior home. All the old people were basically scared out. Some moved to other facilities and a few of them have past away. I think they would have loved a little longer had they not been kicked out of their homes. it’s disgusting how these older folks were just kicked out with barely notice. It was really shady.

  4. Yes unfortunately this building was bought by the so called deelopers and they managed to evict every single elderly resident of the nursing home. This displacement of tenants is all to common these days. but the nursing home story was particularly awful. Many tenants have been harassed out of buildings by developers who want to empty the buildings and create new buildings and condos for the wealthy. It is a sad story

    It happens every day here in Brooklyn my landlord constantly harasses me by taking me to court every year sometimes only a months rent or none so he could kick me out so he could do a fixer upper and claim Manhattan rent…He fix nothing for me though….The Grace of God I am still in the apartment

  6. I’ll never understand this narrative, “The developer evicted the elderly,” when it comes to this property. Fact, the nursing home leased the building to run their operation. They had the opportunity to to renew their lease at a market rate rent, which is standard operation for a commercial tenant. Don’t complain and say these were residents, they were sub-lessee’s of the nursing home who held the lease. When the nursing home failed to renew their lease. The fee owner of the building is legally entitled to have the tenant leave the premises. If you want someone to blame, blame the operator of the nursing home for running a poor operation not the owner of the property. Fact #2, the current developer purchased the property vacant from the previous owner and had no interaction with the previous tenant, or residents for that matter. “Old people were scared out,” give me a break… and barely any notice? They were in court for 3 years fighting. How much more notice do you need? I saw the conditions of the building while residents where living there, it should have been shut down they were so bad. Blame the wealthy condo buyers and developers, just stop that narrative is played out.

  7. Before anything it was the Knights of Columbus and held many get-together’s there. My father met my mother there.
