Permits have been filed for a four-story apartment building at 11 Wilson Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located between Noll Street and George Street, the corner lot is four blocks from the Morgan Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. Cristina Perez under the Aemis Realty II LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 40-foot-tall development will yield 6,023 square feet, with 4,905 square feet designated for residential space. It will have four residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,226 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar.
Oscar Fuertes of OMF Architect is responsible for the design.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

In a city with too many millionaire tax shelters and not enough homes for the rest of us, this is great news. All vacant land and surface parking lots should have a surcharge tax to encourage development. The property could be sold or leased to provide the owner income in perpetuity.
