Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 183 Avenue B in the East Village, Manhattan. Located between East 11th Street and East 12th Street, the interior lot is six blocks from the 1st Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. Richard Pino under the Tompkins 183 LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 90-foot-tall development will yield 10,000 square feet, with 8,279 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 12 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 689 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and 25-foot-long rear yard.
George Berry of Plan Architecture is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in April of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

I was stuck in your reported, please free me with new report and development’s view. I would have realized it was an eight-story residential building, at least that. Though you don’t know completion date, so I can see now no one is ever going to predict it. It will have not to hold on that feeling, because permits filed. (Thanks to YIMBY)
great, a brand new eyesore right next to an already existing eyesore (185 avenue B). why do they have to destroy a perfectly fine, historical building? capitalism sucks.
Thers is no leaderahip in NYC….Mayor DeBlazio is not keeping his promises to the NYC people who voted for him…..this is their answer to low & middle class housing…..in fact this is being built for the wealthy & 3 or 4 apartments will given to NYC Residents using a lottery system….New Yorkers believe that lottery system is corrupt….its all about who you know….Raise your voice…wake up people……
