Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 1329 Morris Avenue in Claremont, The Bronx. Located between East 169th Street and East 170th Street, the lot is four blocks from the 170th Street subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Alfred Popaj under the 1329 Morris Avenue LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 65-foot-tall development will yield 16,754 square feet, with 14,277 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 21 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 679 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 31-foot-long rear yard.
Badaly Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in February of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Hello New York YIMBY: I travel a lot and don’t have time to comment for you, but never mind. When I recovered my body from traveling, I also use all my free time to read.
badaly sucks
i’d rather see the old building stay, it’s better for the soul than anything badaly will come up with.
badaly should be banned from the Bronx.
I spoke to a site foreman about Badaly. He said when you have something that works why change it! I disagreed and said they could have more versatility in his design. Definitely their building next to me will be a shelter of some sort. Or formerly homeless dwelling.
I myself am tired of shelters or low low income housing, I was hoping the bronx could at least be the next Brooklyn, is that too much to ask?
