Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 815 Flatbush Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Caton Avenue and Linden Boulevard, the lot is a short walk to the Parkside Avenue subway station, serviced by the Q train. Harry Einhorn under the Flatbush Caton LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 77,235 square feet, with 58,096 square feet designated for residential space and 4,698 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 76 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 764 square feet. The concrete-based structure will have 45 enclosed parking spaces.
The permit details a slightly larger development than previous plans described last year as a seven-story, 65-unit mixed-use development with 30 percent affordable housing and the remainder as market rate.
Demolition permits were filed in October of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Hello New York YIMBY: The owner of my body and yours, there is a feeling of wanting to be interested or not interested. But in this case, with your report: I would like to say thank you.
So is the old theater being affected?
The building is at the corner of Caton and Flatbush avenues. The nearest train station is the Church avenue station–the Caton avenue entrance is just a few blocks away. There isn’t a theater nearby.
The dollar store moved to a new building across the street, so it’s only a matter of time before the furniture store is gone.
This is BS – that old bank is a great buuilding and should be saved!
There’s Kings Theater 3 blocks up Flatbush
