Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 2439 Barker Avenue in Allerton, The Bronx. Located between Waring Avenue and Mace Avenue, the lot is two blocks from the Allerton Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Franc Gjini is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 36-foot-tall development will yield 6,949 square feet, with 6,834 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 12 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 569 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a penthouse and a 35-foot-long rear yard.
Fred Geremia Architects and Planners is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in November of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
