The affordable housing lottery has launched for Two Blue Slip, aka 41 Blue Slip, a 40-story residential building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Park Tower Group and Brookfield Property Partners, the Greenpoint Landing waterfront structure yields 421 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 127 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $81,258 to $192,400.
Residents will have access to a wide range of amenities including covered parking, bike storage lockers, shared laundry room, common area Wi-Fi, gym, yoga and dance studio, and pool. Other offerings include a media room, party room, recreation room, business center, a children’s playroom, a rooftop terrace, storage, concierge, package lockers, and a doorman and on-site resident manager. Units include floor-to-ceiling windows, name-brand appliances and finishes, air conditioning, Bosch washers and dryers, hardwood floors, dishwasher, charging outlets with USB ports, and smart controls for heating/cooling.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are 35 studios with a monthly rent of $2,370 for incomes ranging from $81,258 to $124,150; 65 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,542 for incomes ranging from $87,155 to $139,620; 25 two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,063 for incomes ranging from $105,018 to $167,570; and two three-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,530 for incomes ranging from $121,029 to $192,400.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than August 31, 2021.
