The affordable housing lottery has launched for Plank Road Apartments, a 27-story residential building at 662 Pacific Street in the Pacific Park mega-development in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by The Brodsky Organization, the structure yields 312 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 94 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $53,040 to $167,570.

Residents will have access to a wide range of indoor and outdoor amenities including a gym, children’s playroom, recreation room, resident lounge, landscaped terrace, BBQ area and kitchenette, rooftop terrace, and pool. All units have washers and dryers.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are 24 studios with a monthly rent of $1,547 for incomes ranging from $53,040 to $124,150; 48 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,273 for incomes ranging from $77,932 to $139,620; and 22 two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,219 for incomes ranging from $110,366 to $167,570.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than January 18, 2021.

this isn’t affordable housing this is income linked rentals. What a joke and stop saying this is “affordable housing”. AFFORDABLE TO WHO EXACTLY?

If you notice the rest of the block is 4 story brownstones and the Newswalk building at 9 stories.
ESD overrode local zoning and used eminent domain to destroy the 2 and 3 story buildings on this site so this developer could build this and pocket huge profits at the expense of NYC taxpayers.
Not one of the NYC elected officials or anyone from the community had any say as to what happened . Totally wrong!

eminent domain is supposed to be used for the common good, not to destroy peoples private homes so a huge developer from China called Greenland holdings (which is wholly owned by the Communist government of China) can lease the land to the Brodsky organization and build a skyscraper in a low rise neighborhood of Prospect heights.
Also so that same conglomerate developer can reap huge profits off the backs of NYC taxpayers under the guise of “affordable housing” using the 421-A tax breaks worth millions of dollars

This building is at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Pacific Street, but neither of those roads are named Plank Road. Can someone explain what’s up with the decision to name a building as if it were a street? Imagine if there was a building named “Flatbush Avenue”, “Main Street”, or “Grand Concourse”, and you can understand my confusion.
