Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 2900 Stillwell Avenue in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Mermaid Avenue and Stillwell Avenue, the corner lot is steps from the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station, serviced by the D, F, N, and Q trains. Moheeb Nasser under the 2900 Stillwell Avenue Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 60-foot-tall development will yield 11,032 square feet, with 10,160 square feet designated for residential space and 872 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 13 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 781 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar but no accessory parking.
Gerald Caliendo Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Why?
Why are we zoning transit hub adjacent sites for 6 stories block from the beach? Why in the love of all things holy would someone hire Gerald Caliendo to design anything outside of a dog house?
Yes yes i like thank you
We could be going much higher than 6 stories on a building just feet away from southern Brooklyn’s largest train station. This isn’t Seagate. Also given the architect you already know it’s gonna be an unremarkable building.
