The Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey have unveiled the organization’s third “DreamLab,” a space designed to educate and inspire young girls. Located in The Shoppes At North Brunswick, the space has classrooms for STEM-related education, training spaces for the performing arts, a bouldering wall, video and podcast recoding booths, an indoor camping area, and flexible spaces for large gatherings.
Starting in October, Girl Scout troops in Southern New Jersey can reserve the DreamLab for meetings and activities. This is the first DreamLab to open on the east coast, followed by others in Denver, CO and Gonzales, LA.
“The DreamLab concept was developed with input from Girl Scouts all over the country,” said Ginny Hill, CEO of the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey. “We want this space to be versatile, serving as a hub for everything from working on badges and journeys to hosting troop meetings and assisting with Gold or Silver Award projects. The possibilities are truly limitless.”
In honor of the new facility, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy declared September 13, 2023 as “Girl Scout Dream Day.”
