Designed to progressive standards, The Solaire is the first LEED Platinum certified residential high-rise building and offers in-residence MERV-14 filtered and conditioned fresh air, filtered water, photovoltaic panels on the façade, planted roofs, a rainwater retention system, and a water reclamation system. In addition, The Solaire is now targeting WELL Building certification, further enhancing the commitment to sustainability and healthy living.

Amenities include a fitness center with state-of-the-art strength training and cardio equipment; a residents’ lounge, and children’s playroom. The rooftop garden, a landscaped oasis on the nineteenth floor also has lounges and dining areas.
The Solaire recently unveiled new interior imagery at the building, including an image of the roof deck overlooking the Hudson River, and a new model residence by Rebecca Robertson Interiors, currently on the market for $2.67 million. The residence is a three-bedroom, three-bath corner residence that features park and direct Hudson River views. For a limited time, the Solaire is also offering all new home buyers with 12-months free of maintenance.
Sustainable interiors are finished with wide plank oak floors, quartzite kitchen counters, and baths of limestone and marble. Kitchens are equipped with a Sub-Zero refrigerator and a Wolf gas range with range hood. Bathrooms feature honed Montpellier Limestone mosaic floors, walnut vanities, illuminated medicine cabinets with polished nickel accents, and Bianco Dolomite Marble wall tiles throughout.

This is a 20-year old rental building converted into condo-op. You may give it a fancy French name and redesign the common areas, it still has low-ceiling units with quite dated windows (compared to new developments), like in so many buildings from the 90s and early 2000s.
