Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 8521 25th Avenue in Gravesend, Brooklyn. Located between 85th Street and 86th Street, the lot is steps from the 25th Avenue subway station, serviced by the D train. Tejpal Sandhu of 86th Street NY LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 76-foot-tall development will yield 28,519 square feet, with 19,911 square feet designated for commercial space and 8,608 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 32 hotel rooms, with an average unit scope of 622 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 15-foot-long side yard, and five enclosed parking spaces.
M.S. Savani Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in March 2023 for the commercial building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
