1020 Rogers Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn via NYC Housing Connect

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1020 Rogers Avenue, a seven-story mixed-use building in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Designed by Zproekt Architects and developed by Oleg Krasnitsky under the 1020 Rogers Avenue LLC, the structure yields 75 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 23 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $72,000 to $218,010.

Residential amenities include pet-friendly policies, garage with assigned parking spaces and electric vehicle charging stations, bike storage lockers, elevator, package lockers, a shared laundry room, gym, playground, and rooftop terrace.

Units come equipped with dishwashers, energy-efficient appliances, air conditioning, high-speed internet, intercoms, patios or balconies, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for household electricity, including stove and heat.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three studios with a monthly rent of $2,100 for incomes ranging from $72,000 to $161,590; nine one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,750 for incomes ranging from $94,286 to $181,740; and 11 two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,160 for incomes ranging from $108,343 to $218,010.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than August 12, 2024.

  2. why do all the new buildings in flatbush look so basic..boxes with windows? compared to other areas in Bklyn?
