Three new retail leases were recently signed at Jasper, a 13-story mixed-use building at 2-33 50th Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. The new tenants, whose leases total approximately 7,600 square feet, will bring commitments to more than 64 percent of the building’s 33,000 square feet of retail space. The project was designed by S9 Architecture and is on track to complete construction in the first quarter of 2025.

Jasper is a joint venture between The Domain Companies, LMXD, the VOREA Group, and Bridge Investment Group. The structure will yield 499 rental units, with 150 units set aside for those with a 130 percent area median income. The project plans to offer a variety of amenities, including outdoor terraces, a pool, fitness facilities, landscaped courtyards, and coworking spaces.

The new tenants include Bright Start, a Queens-based early childhood development center with 4,545 square feet of interior space and an outdoor courtyard; Club Pilates, a boutique Pilates brand, leasing a 1,955-square-foot studio; and Glowbar, a facial membership studio, occupying 1,104 square feet. The tenants plan to open in early 2025, around the time Jasper’s residential space completes construction.

Jasper is located half a block from Gantry State Park, and is a short walk from the 7, E, N, G, W, R, and F trains.

New tenants include Bright Start, an early childhood development center in Queens. Announced! Thanks.

  2. That’s not exactly what I think of when I think retail.

  3. Children development, doggie daycare, nail solon, Judo. We need some real stores, not the same old crap in every new building built in LIC. So boring! we can use a TJMaxx, Home Goods, Butcher shop, a real bakery>

  4. I heard that the urban market was moving over into this building for more space, i guess not 🙁

we need some diversity , more shopping close to home . All these residential buildings do is copy each other nothing unique .
