The affordable housing lottery has launched for Hanover House, a 34-story residential building at 15 Hanover Place in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by Lonicera Partners, the structure yields 314 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 95 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $113,726 to $218,010.
New residents get one month free rent on their first lease term, $1,500 off their security deposit, and 50 percent off amenity fees for the first six months. Amenities include pet-friendly policies, fitness center, lounges, media room, party room, business center, dog park, and outdoor terraces. Tenants are responsible for electricity, including stove and heating.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are 87 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,317 for incomes ranging from $113,726 to $181,740, and eight two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,963 for incomes ranging from $135,875 to $218,010.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than August 23, 2024.
