Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a four-story building at 1019 Hancock Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located between Bushwick Avenue and Broadway, the lot is steps from the Halsey Street subway station, serviced by the J train. Aviad Rave of Blue Chip Painting and Contracting is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 45-foot-tall development will yield 9,183 square feet with 6,585 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have eight residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,004 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
ARC Architecture + Design Studio is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
