Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a six-story mixed-use building at 213 N 8th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Roebling Street and Driggs Avenue, the lot is near the Bedford Avenue subway station, served by the L train. Kin Chao Cheng of NY One Realty Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 65-foot-tall development will yield 20,249 square feet, with 14,294 square feet designated for residential space and 5,954 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 21 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,004 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 36-foot-long rear yard, eight open parkings spaces, and three enclosed parking spaces.

HPL Engineering is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
