Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 609 Ocean Parkway in Kensington, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of 18th Avenue and Ocean Parkway, the corner lot is near the 18th Avenue subway station, served by the F train. Raymond Guindi of Chai Avenue Development LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 84-foot-tall development will yield 28,969 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 29 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 998 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 30-foot-long front yard, and 13 enclosed parking spaces.

Igor Zaslavskiy of Zproekt Architecture is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed earlier this month for the two-story residential building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
